1991-95 Staff Systems Analyst/Technical Writer: Designed, implemented, and maintained information resources which were made available over the Internet. For example, the Social Science Database Archive (SSDBA) provided researchers on California State University campuses located throughout the state with access to social science and census data. Designed the user interface. Developed a system of user documentation, both on-line and written, including help files. Supported users, including technical support, documentation, and training. Other resources supported include electronic mail, Internet access, and access to on-line services, such as, Legi-Slate, Lexis/Nexis, and Dow Jones News Retrieval. Supervised four professional staff members.
1989-91 Associate Systems Analyst/Technical Writer: Responsible for the efficient operation of the academic computing resources for the campus, including network, file/compute service, timesharing, and electronic mail resources and for developing and maintaining administrative databases. Developed policies and procedures; evaluated the operation of the systems; recommended additions and changes; supervised the installation, operation, and maintenance of the networks and distributed resources; developed databases; wrote user and system documentation, project plans, newsletter articles, standard operating procedures, and policy documents.
